Lubrication and Applications of Gearboxes
Common methods of gearbox lubrication include gear oil lubrication, semi-fluid grease lubrication, and solid lubricant lubrication. Gear oil lubrication is ideal for applications with excellent sealing, high speeds, and heavy loads. For scenarios with poor sealing or low-speed operation, semi-fluid grease lubrication is recommended. Meanwhile, molybdenum disulfide ultrafine powder can be used as a lubricant in oil-free or high-temperature environments.

The load-bearing capacity of the gearbox comes from the forces exerted by the wind turbine rotor as well as the reaction forces generated during gear transmission. It must possess sufficient rigidity to withstand both forces and torques, preventing deformation and ensuring the overall quality of the system's power transmission. Additionally, the gearbox design must align with the wind turbine unit's power transmission layout, as well as the requirements for machining and assembly, facilitating easy inspection and maintenance.
